IntelliNet Partners with Adax

By Divya Narain, TMCnet Contributor

Georgia-based IntelliNet Technologies (News - Alert) has reportedly partnered with Cali.-based Adax (News - Alert) to cost-effectively deliver 3G and IP core network connectivity to telecom equipment vendors.

Under the partnership agreement, IntelliNet Technologies will integrate AdaxPacketRunner, or “APR,” into its ACTA architecture. APR is an intelligent ATCA Carrier Blade that has been tailored to meet the I/O requirements of the next generation telecom networks.

APR will provide IntelliNet Technologies with the flexibility to not only manage its current ATM driven application but also to migrate to a 4G network in the future. The collaboration aims to overcome ATCA I/O challenges such as flexibility and scalability of the blades, cost prohibition and redundancy and optimize ATCA performance.

“We have a long standing relationship with Adax and its products have always been able to deliver to the price-performance points we have needed for signaling solutions in the PCI form factors,” Arun Handa, chief technology officer IntelliNet Technologies, said. “For our ATCA architecture the APR showed promise with its on-board packet processor and ability to enable us with ATM AMC cards for ATM connectivity”.

“IntelliNet Technologies is renowned for its expertise and has a strong and well respected solution set. We are excited about working together and feel its customers will benefit from the increased flexibility and scalability the APR will provide,” Drew Sproul, director of product marketing at Adax Inc., said.

Adax offers signaling communications controllers for SS7, ATM and IP; integrated signaling protocol stacks and blades for SS7 and SIGTRAN; and multi-purpose signaling gateways for SS7 and IP interworking. It boasts an elite clientele comprising Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Genband; and value added service providers and system integrators such as NetHawk, Bharti Telesoft (News - Alert) and IP.

Additionally, Adax’s HDCII-LPe SS7 boards are being deployed by EVISTEL in the latest version of its Charging Center solution.
