Edgecore Networks (News - Alert), a joint venture between LG-Nortel and Accton that provides application-driven performance networking solutions designed to meet partner requirements, has announced that the company is going to extend its wired and wireless data networking solutions and integrate voice communications to launch a comprehensive suite of network solutions and services that will offer complete end-to-end network infrastructure solutions for businesses.  

It has been offering business-class wired and wireless networking infrastructure solutions for small- and medium-size businesses for 30 years, and is now going to introduce an enterprise-class wireless LAN solution, a 10G SFP+ Switch Solution, a complete converged voice solution iPECS, and additional service offerings that will benefit from its expanding channel presence. Edgecore has also announced to launch a new partner program designed to provide partners with growth opportunities.

The new Wireless Multi-Access Business Gateway (News - Alert) launched by Edgecore has been developed to offer a secure wired and wireless infrastructure that will enable seamless roaming and central management for the enterprises.

The wireless LAN solution introduced by the company smoothly integrates a gateway and wireless controller into a single unit, and intelligently controls up to 150 wireless access points throughout a building or small campus, which further provides high-performance wireless access for small businesses up to enterprises with more than 500 securely connected users.

On the other hand, the Wireless MBG (News - Alert) can be used in a stacked configuration within larger deployments, in order to ensure local survivability while allowing for centralized control of the network.

The solution is equipped with a number of enhanced features, such as a fail over and hot-swappable gateway that guarantees an " always-on"  network.

It also supports user authentication and enforces per-user policy to provide a secure Enterprise network, and enables seamless layer 2-3 roaming to deliver anytime-anywhere mobility access for business critical applications. Additionally, the gateway/controller supports roaming for voice applications and will support wireless phones in Edgecore'  s new upcoming Unified Communications (News - Alert) portfolio.
