Sangoma Technologies, a specialist in data and voice connectivity components intended for software-based communications, has announced the latest version of its NetBorder Express Gateway (News - Alert) product line, NetBorder Express VoIP Gateway 3.0.

NetBorder Express combines Sangoma’s acclaimed software building blocks with its telephony cards in order to provide a SIP to TDM VoIP Gateway solution. NetBorder gateways can be used by developers to enable SIP-based applications such as conferencing servers, IVRs and IP-PBX (News - Alert).

This latest version of Netborder Express, NetBorder Express VoIP Gateway 3.0, functions as a connectivity enabler for PBX systems that are software-based, while making it a point to be easy and simple to use. NetBorder resides in the same server as the PBX system in order to be tightly integrated with other telecom apps, allowing the cost-effective creation of PBX systems. This latest version of NetBorder Express is available under Windows and now also supports Office Communications Server (OCS) Wave 14, which allows users of OCS to easily integrate NetBorder and enjoy a truly unified communications solution.

Frederic Dickey, director of Marketing and Product Management at Sangoma, said that NetBorder Express Gateway 3.0 fills the need for a product that combines simplicity of management with a high level of integration and functionality. Dickey also noted that the provision of this product displays Sangoma’s commitment to developing solutions that help further the IP-PBX industry while meeting customers’ needs.

New features of NetBorder Express VoIP Gateway 3.0 includes Secure Real-Time Transport (SRTP) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) to enable secure communications; Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) Support for A200 boards; comfort noise generation; silence suppression; an enhanced web GUI that features contextual help menus that can help ease operations; automatic board discovery; and, to aid integration with corporate platforms, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Management Information Bases (MIB).
