By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

360networks completed a VoIP expansion into Coos Bay to cover a total of 1,500 rate centers and about 70 million people. The company added 11 rate centers to its VoIP coverage footprint and this expansion has enabled Clearfly Communications to leverage 360networks’ (News - Alert) wholesale VoIP service to quickly and cost effectively expand into the Coos Bay market.

Providing unified communications solutions to the small and medium business community, Clearfly Communications bundles 360networks' wholesale VoIP and single point of interconnection (SPI) services to efficiently meet its customers' voice and SIP trunking needs.

Chris Hunter, CMO for Clearfly Communications, noted that 360networks has been its wholesalers of choice for many years and in the process helped them steadily expand into new markets by leveraging their state-of-the-art IP backbone and minimizing their need for expensive and time consuming capital projects.

Hunter added that 360networks willingness to expand into new territories has gives them an edge. Clearfly can cost effectively support its customers with the full-featured telecommunications solutions they require.

"With our fiber optic network and deep coverage behind them, companies like Clearfly gain a powerful platform to flexibly and cost effectively support their growth," said Rick Coma, 360networks senior VP, in a press release. "We will continue to expand our footprint to provide the coverage our customers need, precisely when and where they need it," added Coma.

Rick Coma, will be speaking at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West Oct. 6, in a session entitled, “Dark Fiber and Wireless Backhaul Update.” The session will provide a valuable and insightful overview on the current state of dark fiber and wireless backhaul.
