Built for today’s legacy, mobile, and IP networks, as well as future IMS
network deployments, the M6 platform is a carrier-grade, scalable applications server that delivers revenue-generating multimedia services out of the box.
“After one demonstration of the M6 product, we immediately saw how easy it was to use, and we recognized the revolutionary, market-moving aspect of the platform,” Paul Gill, head of BNS marketing said in a press release.
“Our month-over-month sales growth since deployment continues to validate our M6 selection and the mobile phone integration has been a big part of our hosted enterprise success.”
The M6 platform will allow the UK-based telecom provider to meet a growing market demand for mobile integration caused by high international roaming charges.
BNS as an alternative to international roaming is deploying their voice over Wi-Fi
service, branded WiDial, allowing users to make mobile phone calls across wireless broadband networks when in Wi-Fi hotspot areas.
“BNS is an innovation leader in the UK market with a distinctive approach to mobile voice and multimedia services,” Ron Halpern, GENBAND's executive vice president of international sales said in a press release.
“Our product portfolio continues to gain traction globally as we address challenges for BNS and other international operators.”
