Hitachi (News - Alert) Telecom announced a successful teaming with Falcon IP/Complete of Malden, Missouri. This new partnership will deliver a fully integrated MPEG-4 IPTV solution for service providers who are implementing Hitachi’s AMN1220 Gigabit Passive Optical Network Fiber to the Premises solution.
The combined solution is designed especially for municipalities, master planned communities and telcos that provide triple play services to rural areas and smaller communities and are in need of a source for their own competitive video offering.
Channel lineups are flexible, and currently include 180 standard definition and 32 HDTV channels, along with 56 music channels, and all local channels. This variety of options will ensure that the offering will appeal to the customer base and allow for effective competition in the industry.
“Our concept of ‘Bird to box’ is unique, in that we provide the complete solution from satellite selection to the subscriber’s set top box,” said Donald Cook, president and CEO for Falcon IP/Complete, in a Monday statement. “We take care of all integration and installation of the equipment and software required for services delivery as well as ongoing 24/7 support.”
“Our objective is to offer revenue-producing solutions to our customers – solutions that can give them faster time-to-market against their competition,” said Rick Schiavinato, Hitachi Telecom (News - Alert) vice president, sales and marketing, in Monday’s statement.
Falcon IP/Complete is positioned as the only provider of an MPEG-4, and-to-end IPTC solution for the nation’s telcos, government agencies, developer and business communities and healthcare and educational institutions.
This privately held company focuses on blending the customer’s enterprise needs with its own ongoing communications training and research to develop proven, exclusive and cost-effective IPTV (News - Alert) architectures and installations.
Falcon IP/Complete is backed by more than 41 years of communications industry expertise and the company drives growth through its guarantee of unprecedented, timely service and support, as well a the latest in content and interactive systems options.
As a result of this new partnership, customers in more rural areas will have access to customized solutions and service that were previously available only to those in larger communities. The rural area is still an underdeveloped portion of the country in terms of technology offerings.
While the amount of investment to potential customer ratio is much lower than that of larger cities, the need still exists in rural communities. By responding to this need, Falcon IP/Complete is helping to drive demand for its solutions, securing its position as a dominant player in its market.
