Broadvox, a managed VoIP services provider, and NEC Unified Solutions Inc., a company that helps firms unify business communications through software, applications, development tools, and services, announced interoperability certification of NEC’s (News - Alert) (News - Alert) UNIVERGE SV8100 and UX5000 IP communications servers.

The Dallas-based company provides SIP Trunking solutions to SMBs regardless of existing infrastructure.
When launched with NEC’s UNIVERGE IP communication servers, Broadvox (News - Alert) GO SIP Trunking delivers affordable IP communications with support for digital, wired and wireless networks, the companies said. The features delivered through the SV8100 or UX500 can be shared between branch offices by linking multiple NEC communications servers together.
“NEC communications servers give customers the option of allowing phased migration to IP either by leveraging their existing migration or through immediate deployment to a pure IP solution,” said Pete Sandrev, vice president of customer experience at Broadvox, in a statement. “When connected to a reliable and robust IP network like the one engineered by Broadvox, NEC’s UNIVERGE solutions can help drive both short and long-term savings by combining enhanced productivity applications.”
Broadvox GO SIP Trunking products provide cost savings of up to 70 percent when compared to traditional telecom services. Customers receive unlimited local calling with discounted toll free, nationwide and international calling. Service options include E911, DIDs and local number portability, which let businesses keep their current phone numbers.
NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 Communications Server, ideal for SMBs solution supports voice, video and wireless communications. The server-based is scalable and can be deployed in both branch and remote offices. Meanwhile, the UNIVERGE UX5000 is an integrated solution for smaller businesses designed to meet the unique challenges of both business telephony applications and VoIP. This system supports pure peer-to-peer IP telephony connectivity and advanced networking, NEC said.
"Broadvox has set the VoIP/SIP technology standard of excellence for years and we are pleased to have achieved certification with their SIP Trunking products,” said Jay Krauser, general manager, core solutions and engineering, NEC, in a statement. “Successful completion of testing that includes over 60 separate elements of call processing gives us the confidence to assure our customers that our UNIVERGE SV8100 and UX5000 communications servers and Broadvox SIP Trunking will enable ’real–world’ reliable communication with business VoIP."
In other news, Broadvox recently announced interoperability certification between the Zultys MX family of IP-PBX (News - Alert) communication systems and Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking. The Broadvox VoIP network combined with Zultys technology enables businesses to deploy customized unified communications solutions and achieve the benefits and cost-savings of business VoIP.
