LinkedIn iPhone App Gets Major Upgrades More Connectivity

Definitive enterprise level social media provider LinkedIn is adding additional features to its iPhone (News - Alert) app this week, with updates making member connections more relevant and easier to manage. Version 3.3 will not only add features making it easier to keep up with your network but will also bring on simplified home screen designed to be more intuitive than the previous version.

In a blog post about the update LinkedIn’s (News - Alert) Senior Engineering Manager at “The Network Updates experience has been redesigned to both make it simpler to share business intelligence with your connections on LinkedIn and Twitter as well as to view their updates. We now include a rich share view on the iPhone where you see an image and a short snippet of what was shared. The Network Updates view now allows you to tab through updates in four frequencies: All updates, profile updates, connection updates, or your favorite connections’ updates.”

Message archiving, and enhanced navigation for message received via the app have also been tacked on.  The app will also bring a feature that will let users see who their connections are connecting to, offering users direction for their networking process.

The company has over 67 million users worldwide and continues to be instrumental to networking and career hunting in the digital era. The updates will make the platform easier to use for the millions of who’ve already incorporated it into their daily routines.
