In order to launch new proprietary software that could save sheets of paper and hundreds of gallons of gas, Bulwark Exterminating has bought all company technicians iPhone (News - Alert) and Droid smartphones for Christmas.
According to a press release, the branches in Phoenix and Mesa, Ariz., are already operating with the new software and all 11 service branches are scheduled one-by-one to be operating on the new system by spring of 2011, and getting smartphones into the hands of the technicians is the next vital step.
The company stated that its Las Vegas pest control and St. George, Utah locations are scheduled to begin using the software during the first week of January. Bulwark technicians currently make an average of one trip per day to their assigned branch office to drop off the invoices from that day's route. They will now only need to stop by their branch office about once a week, as they will be able to upload their invoices to the main servers via their smartphones.
Adam Seever, owner of Bulwark said that it is the company’ s way of saying “thank you” to its technicians, as well as making the company more resourceful as these phones will be used for company purposes by technicians.
Seever added that it is a cleaner and more resourceful way to provide pest control services to the company’s customers.
Bulwark is fully operational in seven states, including 11 major cities. While Bulwark provides pest extermination for common insects such as ants, roaches, crickets and spiders, the company's differentiating specialty is scorpion control.
