MokaFive has announced its software application for iOS, uniting work and personal computing on iPads and iPhones. The company's solution allows customers to manage all employee devices – Macs, iPads and iPhones – from a single console.

The software is designed to unite work and personal computing while keeping corporate data secure. MokaFive cites recent studies that show that 64 percent of mobile workers use tablet computers which are mostly iPads, while the iPhone (News - Alert) represents the fastest growing smartphone on the market. Corporations are expected to spend more than $28 billion on iOS devices by 2013, according to company officials.

Securing this huge fleet of mobile devices is a huge hurdle that needs to be overcome before they may be used as legitimate business tools. MokaFive for iOS lets employees move seamlessly from desktop to laptop to iPad, while securely accessing the same files from each device. The ability to work collaboratively on key documents and information enhances productivity while allowing users to view documents both online and offline.

The MokaFive solution is also designed to be appealing to IT departments as well as employees. It offers an encrypted container to secure and isolate corporate data from other content contained on personal iOS devices. IT managers may remotely wipe this container from lost or stolen devices with one click, and the solution also features dozens of policies and security settings. This offers companies a breadth of customization, such as limiting employees from emailing documents to themselves and prohibiting copy and paste from corporate files to personal files.

MokaFive for iOS is available for immediate download from the Apple (News - Alert) App Store. The MokaFive Management Server for IT is available through the company's Web site.

"We are thrilled about MokaFive for iOS," said John Odden, principal of managed-service provider My Direct HISP. "Our healthcare clients are very excited to be able to use their iPads and iPhones to securely access protected health information offline or over WiFi (News - Alert) and 4G wireless network, and stay in HIPAA compliance."

“Top performers – the same people who are the biggest drivers of bring-your-own-device programs –d have been sneaking their own computers and tablets into the workplace for years, regardless of their companies' rules," said MokaFive CEO Dale Fuller. "These employees focus on getting the job done, no matter what. They figure it is better to ask forgiveness than permission. But with MokaFive, they don't have to ask at all.”
