Localscope is a location browser from Cynapse that allows users to see and know their locality like never before. With the help of Localscope, users can now find out and discover people and places around them with the help of geo-tagged information from numerous local search engines, social networks and media sharing services.

Recently, Cynapse introduced Localscope v2.4. According to the company, the new version offers various sources to explore a location on the iPhone (News - Alert).

By making use of the collective knowledge of numerous geo search engines, social networks and media sharing services, Localscope allows customers to rapidly find anything around a location. It also allows them to use the results in special ways. The new version adds Yelp (News - Alert) to the set of services that Localscope combines geo data from, and thus keeps up with the objective of widening the power of choice for users by adding more local information sources, the company stated in a press release.
