Socialvest, a major cause-based shopping platform on the Web, has unveiled an application especially for iPhone (News - Alert) users.

Initially only available on the desktop, Socialvest has launched the iPhone app in order to meet the growing demands of mobile commerce and micro-philanthropy. iPhone users will be able to carry out shopping at their chosen retailers and also receive cash back on every purchase using the latest app.

Cash back can also be optionally contributed to a minimum of 1.5 million not-for-profits straight from their phone.

Available at the iTunes app store, the app can be downloaded at no extra cost. Users will be able to instantaneously surf through hundreds of stores within the Socialvest network. Users will be able to view the cash back component offered by each retailer. An e-mail from Socialvest will inform the user regarding the deposit completed to the member's Socialvest account, after every purchase.

The latest app allows users to shop across hundred of retailers across the nation. Users will have the option to share details regarding their shopping and donations with their friends through Facebook (News - Alert). They can browse and locate several thousands of products using name or category as the criteria.

The UPC codes, which can be scanned by Socialvest barcode scanner, can help locate the finest deals and corresponding cash back. Shoppers can easily connect to retailers who provide in store pick-up.

The latest app allows users to create a list of their favorite retailers, saving them time to locate the retailers.

Tools for QR scanning, shopping lists and cross-platform incorporation will be offered in the upcoming releases of the Socialvest iPhone application. The organization also plans to unveil Socialvest apps for Android (News - Alert) and iPad by the end of the year.
