CareClix has successfully accomplished beta testing for its mobile application, especially for iPhone and Android (News - Alert) users. CareClix aims to offer patients uninterrupted access to their doctors by extending its network to cellular and wireless communications.

Patients and their providers are already enjoying high-level video consultations with the help of the CareClix telemedicine platform, available online. The latest mobile app now ensures these consultations and routine health checkups over a hand-held device. The mobile apps can be used by the patients to fix up appointments and also access to their personal health records, or PHR. Apart from Wi-Fi connections, standard mobile networks can now be used to carry out CareClix video consultations.

In a release, Dr. Sunil Budhrani, Medical Director of CareClix said, “With the recent US Supreme Court ruling on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or PPACA, telemedicine is positioned to allow patients, insurers, employers, and providers a means to provide cost-effective, high quality healthcare. As a leading telehealth organization, CareClix will continue to bring innovations like this to telemedicine in order to enhance patient convenience and transform the way patients interact with their physicians and providers.”

The delivery system for healthcare, which ensures enhanced access to dutiful medical providers irrespective of location and time, are further extended with telemedicine. Information technologies are integrated with telemedicine for offering clinical care to patients away from the hospitals. According to the American Telemedicine Association (News - Alert), telemedicine has proved to be advantageous to a minimum of 10 million Americans annually. The number of patients asking for improved access to quality and reasonable healthcare is also on the rise.

An all-inclusive telehealth offering is offered by CareClix. The company was launched in 2010 and is based in Washington DC. CareClix was launched by Board Certified practicing physicians, Dr Sunil Budhrani and Dr. John Korangy.

The CareClix offering provides a completely incorporated, protected and HIPAA-compliant platform, thereby linking up providers and patients across the globe. Providers are also able to avail certified online Electronic Medical Record system, e-prescribing, and lab testing from CareClix. CareClix is transforming the manner in which the patients view their doctor with the help of its wide-ranging telemedicine solution.
