Mobiata has unveiled an enhanced FlightTrack Free app, especially for iOS and Android (News - Alert) devices. The original FlightTrack app, which was introduced by Mobiata approximately four years ago, has been widely used among travelers after its recommendation by Forbes Magazine. The app is currently one of the best selling apps. The latest FlightTrack Free has been entirely revamped and is now available for no extra cost.

Flight details and flight map have been incorporated into the latest app, which has been entirely revamped from its original interface. The latest FlightTrack Free app provides details on departures, arrivals, gate numbers and baggage claims, instantaneously. The app also offers maps and satellite images with an option for zooming. The app currently offers details regarding 16,000 airports across the globe. The users also have the option locate and monitor one flight at any given time.
Currently, FlightTrack Free has been released across the globe in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Spanish languages
Expedia (News - Alert) Inc. is the parent company of Mobiata, which was launched in November 2008. Top selling mobile travel applications are developed by Mobiata for smartphones and emerging devices. Applications developed by Mobiata's have been highlighted by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Washington Post, TechCrunch, USA Today, Apple (News - Alert) TV and print ads.
The top selling FlightTrack, FlightTrack Pro, FlightBoard, TripDeck and Expedia Hotels applications have been developed by Mobiata. In 2010, Expedia, Inc. had taken over Mobiata.
