Robstar Ltd. recently released a new music app for the iPhone (News - Alert) called "Square Beats." Designed by Robstar and run by a young software developer from Hamburg, Square Beats makes it easy for musicians with any level of expertise to quickly and intuitively produce melodious beats.
“We have managed to build a stylish app that is extremely easy to use, and it does not lack the necessary musical complexity,” said app developer Simon Meyborg. “Both professional musicians as well as experimental, joyful amateurs achieve with Square Beats amazing results that are presentable."
Until the introduction of the smartphone, electronic music was the realm of the most talented musicians with the required expertise and professional software. But the advent of the smartphone changed all of that.
Thanks to the current operating system iOS 5, latency has been substantially lowered, allowing the audio features of the iPhone to be enhanced significantly.
The newly release app is available in a free and a paid version for iPhone and iPad in the AppStore.
Leveraging Square Beats, users have the option of implementing selective ideas via simple experimentation and then create beats and melodies all within a matter of few minutes. Square Beats provides users with up to 96 instruments and ten tracks – a substantial improvement over what current music apps provide.
Furthermore, Square Beats does not have a technical and complex framework and has been developed with an easy to use user interface.
The program features a grid with multiple blocks (squares), which can be used for assigning different instruments and sounds by the user. The user has the option of making required adjustments to key, length, height and volume.
