Propellerhead's Music App for iPhone and iPod Touch Now Supports AudioCopy and WIST

Recently, Propellerhead has revealed that Figure, its best selling music app for the iPhone (News - Alert) and iPod touch, now supports AudioCopy and Wireless Sync-Start Technology (WIST).

Sonoma wire works builds on the copy/paste features in the Apple (News - Alert) iPhone software to develop audio copy and audio paste functionality for several Apple products. And with this solution in place, users can paste their Figure tracks into other iOS Apps, according to company officials.

WIST is Korg’s innovative technology which allows for wireless sync-start between two WIST-compatible apps on two iPads and/or iPhones located near each other. Hence, this offering allows two people to jam together by syncing apps running on different iOS devices. It uses uses Bluetooth to synchronize, stop and start apps on separate devices.

The newly released version of Figure adds user requested features and also language localization in Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

WIST enables Figure 1.2 users to perform with a friend or expand their iPad/iPhone ensemble as well as mix and match Figure with ReBirth, iMS20, iElectribe, Beatmaker and many other compatible apps in new dynamic ways.

The key changes in Figure 1.2 are Audio Copy-pasting of Figure audio directly into compatible apps on iOS; WIST simultaneously start two iOS devices with compatible apps; and the additional atonal / chromatic scale mode. Moreover in the new version, performance pads now have a grid.

Stockholm, Sweden-based Propellerhead Software is a privately owned company that is touted as creating nnovative music software applications, interfaces and technology standards.

Recently, the company revealed that hundreds of companies are developing instruments, effects and utilities for its new Rack Extension platform. It said that the new technology, released in June this year as part of Reason 6.5, has been met with great enthusiasm from the developer community.
