Travel planning becomes lot easier when you have travel tips, package options, reviews, photographs and the like in your reach. Amadeus, a source of technologies for the travel industry, has developed a free iPad application that has brought travel inspiration and information to the voyager’s fingertips – literally.

Called Travel Seeker HD, this new app makes all the necessary trip options available at the tap of a touchscreen.

Travel Seeker HD has been designed to make travel research much easier. With an intuitive graphic interface and covering information about 150 destinations in the U.S. and 350 destinations worldwide, Travel Seeker enables the searcher to find the answer to a long list of personalized questions. Some of the examples include:

• "Where can I go for $500?"
• "When is the best time to go to New Zealand?"
• "Where can I go to enjoy a family vacation at a theme park?"
• "In which cities can I meet my friends?"

Travel Seeker HD enables users to conduct these searches from 100 city origins in the U.S. and Canada.

Through the app’s easy-to-use interface, users receive rich information about destinations and activities based on a wide range of travel search parameters, such as budget, flight options, points-of-interest, weather, geography and more. Users can quickly and easily browse maps, view photos and guides, and search hundreds of flights and fares.

Facebook (News - Alert) integration enables users to get recommendations from other travelers or find friends in destinations around the world.

In addition to filtering search requests for an extensive set of criteria, Travel Seeker also gives users access to the best air fare, and to which airports would be the best choice for arrival and departure.

Based on the criteria like local weather, activities, points-of interest, travel guides, colorful photographs, and rich destination descriptions, the app helps you make flawless travel decisions.

The Amadeus Travel Seeker HD app is now available in the U.S. and Canada, and can be downloaded for free from the App Store on iPad or directly at the Amadeus website.

A few months ago, Amadeus announced a tieup with Hipmunk, the travel site taking the agony out of travel planning. Under the partnership, Amadeus' advanced technology solutions were implemented on the innovative metasearch site, www.hipmunk.com, to provide international low fare search and shopping, further widening the breadth of Hipmunk's travel options.
