Whether you want to golf, ski, camp or party outdoors, the first thing you do is look at the skies and wonder what the weather gods have in store for you. Of course, there are the weather bulletins, which do give you pretty accurate forecasts, but what do you do when you’re on the go?
Well, app developer, Tim Clark (News - Alert) has created the “Eye in Sky” weather app, powered by weather data from Custom Weather, for Android (News - Alert) users. The app features CustomWeather’s live weather conditions, detailed 48-hour and 15-day forecasts.
“I chose CustomWeather as the data provider for their ability to provide robust, worldwide coverage of localized weather forecasts in over 68,000 locations. As a developer, the XML formats provided by CustomWeather make it easy and straightforward to access this collection of data,” stated Clark, explaining why he preferred CustomWeather.
San Francisco-based provider of high resolution weather forecast and alert services, CustomWeather, has reportedly been offering the industries’ most robust weather solutions for both decision support and consumer application.
With the Eye in Sky app, users can view the data about their weather in 42 different languages. And, the best part is that they can choose from among 12 impressive icon sets and four customizable widgets offered.
You have an ingenious app for viewing weather conditions and forecasts. And, when coupled with CustomWeather’s high resolution, localized forecasting system, you get a formidable combination and a streamlined weather experience.
Eye in Sky is available both in free and pro versions on Google (News - Alert) Play, where it was recently named a “Staff Pick.”
A seven-inch tablet version is in the offing and Clark plans to continue adding more functionality, new settings and most important- bug fixes. He also promises to iron out a few rough edges that have been causing quite a stir.
So, what will the weather be like? Android users –get your Eye in Sky app and let us know.
