Electronics, and in particular cell phones, have become a central part of most people’s lives. Because these devices are used to perform just about every function, our dependency on them and the need to keep them working and safe from water and other destructive environments has become vital.
Most insurance plans add additional fees to the already steep price associated with owning and using these sophisticated devices.
In response to this market need, San Diego, Calif.-based LifeProof is providing products that offer freedom from the environmental constraints of mobile devices.
Imagine being able to text message from the shower, shoot mobile videos from inside the pool, or talk on the phone while on a jet ski; these are the promises LifeProof is delivering on.
Today the company announced the availability of iPhone cases and accessories at its new online store that are waterproof, dustproof, snow-proof and shock-proof.
These new cases, which retail for $69.95 each, not only provide protection for the iPhone (News - Alert), but are non- intrusive and have a sleek design that fits easily into a user’s pocket.
According to the company’s website, their cases are targeted at users ranging from young families to fitness enthusiasts, road warriors, outdoor adventurers, dirty job workers and those who are accident prone.
In addition, the LifeProof cases are tested to military specifications (MIL-STD-810F-516.5), meaning they can survive being dropped from a height of 6.6 feet onto concrete, and are also waterproof to a depth of 6.6 feet.
The company’s new website includes a storefront as well as video manuals, step-by-step guides and demonstrations on how others are using their phones in places that were virtually impossible before.
“LifeProof is more than a product, it’s a movement.” says Gary Rayner, LifeProof founder and CEO. “It gives freedom to be connected anywhere with your mobile device; freedom to build relationships, gain knowledge, exercise, and juggle work; freedom for all people anywhere to go everywhere.”
Other accessories also available at www.lifeproof.com include a belt clip, bike mount, headphone adapter and armband as well as a swim band and headphone adapter for use while in the water.
