If you’re going to Israel, go ahead and wear flowers in your hair. But don’t try bringing an iPad on your flight.

Israel has reportedly banned all imports of Apple (News - Alert)'s iPad due to concerns that its wireless frequencies are incompatible with national standards. Customs officials said Thursday “they already have confiscated about 10 iPads since Israel announced the new regulations this week,” the Washington Post reported.

Apple released its iPad on April 3, and within 24 hours a reported 300,000 were sold. In some parts of the United States, there were lines out the door.

In other iPad news, Billboard announced today that it will hold its first-ever Music App Awards at Mobile Entertainment Live!: The Music App Summit on October 5, 2010. The event will take place in conjunction with the CTIA (News - Alert) Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2010, Fall Show, in San Francisco.
