Since the surge of numerous remote controlled electronic devices, the demand for universal remotes is constantly on the rise, both from household customers and organizations. Sensing an opportunity in this field, ThinkFlood, maker of RedEye remotes for iPad, iPhone (News - Alert) and iPod touch, has joined hands with WAVE Electronics to explore this demand.

The RedEye system allows the customers to use their iPhone or iPod touch to control their TV, stereo, cable box, DVD player, and many other devices that receive standard signals.

Offering high-end functionality at an affordable price, RedEye remotes turn the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch into networked universal remotes. WAVE (News - Alert) Electronics is the first distributor of these remotes in US. This allows RedEye and RedEye mini users to operate anything controlled by infrared signals -- TVs, DVRs, cable and satellite receivers, DVD and Blu-ray players, game consoles, stereos, and more.

“WAVE is a one-stop shop with five, large distribution centers, and top notch services for independent CI dealers, like model homes and showrooms for sales presentations, product training, and dealer financing,” said ThinkFlood founder and Vice President of Operations Adam Shapiro. "We think this is a great opportunity to work together in opening a new category of home control in the south-central US.”

Providing 8,000 SKUs from over 150 A/V and custom installation manufacturers, WAVE is one of the largest, fastest growing independent consumer electronics distributors in the US. It offers products from Aprilaire, ELAN Home Systems, Jamo, JVC, Middle Atlantic, Mitsubishi, NuVo, OmniMount, Onkyo, Panasonic, Pioneer, Polk Audio, RedEye, Samsung, Sony, TiVo, Tripp Lite (News - Alert), Ultralink, VITEK, Xantech, and more.

Recently, the company partnered with TotalQ, to address consumer and reseller demand in Australia. ThinkFlood designs and develops remote control hardware and software. Its first commercial application, RedEye turns the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad into a personal remote that enables control of virtually any home entertainment device from any room in the home. TotalQ is now Australia's exclusive distributor of RedEye remote, an advanced multi-room, multi-controller system.
