Onlime Delivers IP PBX Along With VoIP Services
December 12, 2016
Many countries in Africa still don't have IP communications that have become standard throughout the world. This is primarily based on the lack of infrastructure and the networks needed to deliver VoIP and related services. In Sierra Leone, the government has been passing legislation to liberalize the telecom sector so operators can start delivering these services. Onlime, the country's leading ISP and only operator and owner of voice and data capacity on the ACE (Africa Coast to Europe) submarine communications cable, just announced it is going to launch an all-new VoIP service for the first time in Sierra Leone.
Onlime offers a full range of services, including super-fast Internet broadband, VoIP telephony, MPLS connectivity, domain hosting and government and corporate private networks (VPN) inside and outside of Sierra Leone. It also provides VSAT services for remote or standalone sites as part of the Onlime Business Communications Network, which has presence in 12 countries around the world.
According to Onlime, the services it provides will address consumers and businesses with all of the IP communications solutions that are readily available elsewhere. The company's enterprise VoIP solution will offer business customers an IP PBX and desk phone platform with professional grade services. Onlime is launching the free LimeySL App that will integrate Android (News - Alert) and iOS mobile devices as part of its overall VoIP service to address collaboration and remote work, as well as being able to make local and international calls.
Mr. Foday Sankoh, Managing Director of Onlime SL Limited, said, “With Onlime's new VoIP service there is no need to buy a new mobile phone, no need to get a new SIM Card; just download the App and you are connected to the rest of the world with affordable local and international rates.”
Onlime will be able to provide IP PBX (News - Alert) to enterprise customers with hundreds of extensions with backhaul links that are capable of handling up to 900 Mbps of data traffic and single links to customers of 100 Mbps. It is interconnected with several Tier 1 global Internet providers, which has allowed the company to provide everything from simple IP Transit to Managed DSL and end-to-end MPLS solutions.
For enterprises that require dedicated high capacity bandwidth, Onlime offers broadband packages with VoIP business phone systems with fully managed end-to-end solutions that include full featured IP PBXs. The company currently provides services to governments, banks, embassies and high commissions, UN entities, NGOs and others.
