Added value is the key to getting ahead in just about any market one cares to name. Whether it's used cars, sewing machines, or Internet protocol private branch exchange (IP PBX (News - Alert)) technology, offering more value than the competition is one great way to get ahead. Recently, net2phone saw as much going on in its own branch of the IP PBX market and thus decided to step up its own offerings with unlimited calling to landlines in Brazil.

The offer applies to U.S. customers only, who can now use net2phone (News - Alert)'s IP PBX offerings to connect to Brazil as much as desired. Those calling Brazilian cell phones, however, will still need to pay, but the rates are reportedly quite low for such calls. This latest push joins a set of features net2phone offers, ranging from a variety of tools like auto attendants, find-me-follow-me options, and voicemail-to-email conversion for those who would rather read messages than listen to them.

Plus, net2phone offers a host of other countries where calling in is unlimited, including not only the United States itself, but also a range of European countries from Cyprus to Spain, as well as other regions like Israel, Canada, Peru and plenty more. Throw in free Polycom (News - Alert) phones with an upgrade to net2phone's hosted PBX option, and the package is downright staggering.

Jonah Fink, net2phone's president, commented, “net2phone has been serving the needs of US companies operating in Brazil for over a decade. Now, through our channel partners, we are pleased to provide US based businesses that serve the large and dynamic Brazilian market with unlimited calling to Brazilian landlines and as part of our robust, feature rich Hosted PBX telephony solution. Our extensive experience and infrastructure in Latin America ensure best-in-class service when calling Brazil.”

Granted, there may not be a whole lot of people out there saying “If only I had a low-cost way to call Brazil!,” but for everyone who does, there's a solution right here. It's not just about the Brazilian calling; it's about the fact that this is just one more in a long string of countries that net2phone will let users call with a remarkable lack of expense. That's adding value, and that means a potential new market afoot, full of people who will join net2phone's ranks of customers, and spread the word about how great it is to call Brazil for so spectacularly cheap.

This isn't net2phone trying to build a market; this is net2phone trying to add on to a market that's already there. That addition will likely serve the company well, providing a new stream of income and positive word-of-mouth promotion that won't be easy to pass up in the days ahead.
