IP phone company Yealink (News - Alert) has been putting major emphasis on strategic partnerships recently. The company aims to develop and deliver a variety of business communication solutions with an emphasis on keeping costs down and ensuring offerings are user friendly. Yealink recent partnered with DVCOM Technology, a distributor in the Middle East and Africa, on a reseller conference which was the culmination of a longstanding business relationship between the two companies.
Last year, DVCOM organized a road show to familiarize its partners with Yealink’s offerings. The initiative attracted nearly 50 participants from areas like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Libya, Sudan, Bahrain, Bangladesh and India. ICT in the region is booming, with VoIP phones and related solutions playing a major role in that growth. DVCOM also offers products from snom, Digium (News - Alert), Draytek and IAX.
DVCOM has been a valued partner on the distribution side for Yealink, but the company has also been emphasizing its technology partnerships. Over the past month the company has teamed up with cloud communications provider Broadsmart (News - Alert), and has achieved certification with PortaOne’s communication platform. Other key partners include Phybridge, Genesys, VOIspeed, Teliax and Nexogy.
The partnerships and promotion coincide with the debut of Yealink’s SIP-T23G phone last month, geared toward SMBs. The solution provides HD audio with echo cancellation as well as a variety of advanced calling features. Most importantly, it supports SIP but is also certified to work with 3CX, Asterisk (News - Alert) and Avaya platforms, further highlighting Yealink’s strategic business relationships and partner strategy.
