With automated provisioning, service providers can deploy an IT or telecommunication service using predefined procedures without the need to have users intervene. It also allows them to quickly respond to customer demands by being able to add or remove services in minutes or hours, instead of long periods of legacy systems. The addition of the new Auto Provisioning Helper Tool from Telinta (News - Alert) will give VoIP service providers more control of the solutions they offer to their customers for a more efficient and rapid response to business requests.

As a provider of cloud-based switching and billing solutions for VoIP service providers, Telinta creates white label carrier-grade products and services customized for providers and their resellers. This includes hosted PBX (News - Alert), call centers, audio conferencing, mobile solutions and more.

The new Auto – Provisioning Helper Tool is part of the company's overall offering to simplify the deliverability of the services it offers to its commercial customers and their end users. With the new tool, its customers can modify the configuration on devices that are already in service, as well as easily provision multiple new IP devices without manual configuration.

If a profile is not available, the Web-based user interface has click-by-click instructions for some of the leading brands of IP phones. The company's Auto-Provisioning is used on IP phones manufactured by Cisco, Polycom, Yealink, Snom, Grandstream, Fanvil, Gigaset, Uniden, Panasonic, Aastra (News - Alert), VTech and others.

The Telinta Auto-Provisioning capability is part of its TeliCore softswitch platform. Using TeliCore, providers can create an inventory of their IP phones through the Web-based interface. Once they are connected to an IP network with their customers, it can download a complete configuration profile from Telinta’s softswitch platform automatically.

Customers also have more control when it comes to activating new features on their IP phones, including remote reboots, updating the software of IP phones, assigning phone numbers and lines to specific ports, routing calls, rating, billing, customer management and other functions without manual configurations.

Giving service providers and their customers more control means rapid market entry for new offerings that can result in improved customer retention levels, access to new services, and predictable operating expenses. Telinta has been developing custom Auto-Provisioning profiles to streamline the provisioning of IP phones since 2002, and the new tools add to the existing features already available to service providers.
