Small office/home office or SoHo businesses now have access to quality communication solutions with a wide range of features. Whether a business owner chooses a hosted solution with enterprise grade services, or a system deployed on premises in their home, there are multiple options available in the marketplace. The Panasonic (News - Alert) KX-HTS824 all in one hybrid IP PBX embedded server that just launched in India is the latest example.
The KX-HTS824 is a new compact hybrid IP PBX (News - Alert) that brings together all of the communications needs under one platform with basic call features built-in, flexible trunk line selection (analog/IP), smartphone as extension, built-in router with Wi-Fi access point, and video communication with plug and play programming.
The system has been designed for small office, residential home office or retail space to bring together seamless communication between employees and connected devices and systems. The flexible hybrid system works in both IP and analog configuration, which can be mixed without having to change PBX when selecting the trunk line from analog to SIP.
Using software phone functionality, smartphones can be integrated with BYOD functions so calls can be answered outside of the office working as a PBX extension at no extra charge. The connectivity also allows recorded voicemail messages to be transferred by email to smartphones or personal computers.
When it comes to video communications, the KX-HTS824 server can be configured with a full lineup of terminals including video phones, communications IP camera and IP video door phones. Using the Panasonic HDV430 video phone, a SoHo business can carry out video conferencing without any dedicated apps, making a video call just as easy as a regular call.
The compatibility of the IP camera and IP video door phones allows the KX-HTS824 to be used for remote coaching of employees and as a security system. It can monitor your home or office with a feature that allows you to remotely open the doors with a propriety terminal or a smartphone. Both units work as a PBX extension with full communications features, as well as motion/voice detection functionality along with digital input and output ports so external devices can be integrated, such as more cameras, sensors or other monitoring hardware.
The KX-HTS824 IP PBX server has a total of eight trunks installed in the system supporting up to 24 extensions, eight of which can be analog. The Panasonic HDV430 video phone has a 4.3 inch color touch display, built-in video camera for video conferencing capabilities, a 4.3” color TFT LCD touch panel, 2 x Gigabit Ethernet and PoE, and more.
“Our strategy in India is to increase our B2B imprint while also setting our position. We feel that with the spate of new technology and the characteristics we have added, reaching up to the KX HTS824 will make it a challenging player in the market,” said Managing Director of Panasonic India, Vijay Wadhwan.
