European NEV to Resell Espial's Evo IPTV Service Platform
By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Espial (News - Alert), a provider of IPTV

middleware and applications has signed a reseller agreement with a major Network Equipment Vendor (NEV) for its Evo IPTV (News - Alert) Service Platform. NEV will now resell Espial's Evo Service Platform to Telco and Cable operators within targeted regions in Europe. The company didn’t disclose the identity of the NEV due to confidentiality and competitive reasons.
Under terms of the agreement, Evo IPTV Service Platform will be offered as part of a complete, turn-key IPTV solution for operators.
Jaison Dolvane, Espial’s president and CEO said in a statement that this is an important business milestone for Espial and further validates the strength of Evo IPTV Service Platform as a next generation TV solution. The latest reseller agreement secures an influential channel for Espial to access major Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators in strategically important European regions and augments their fulfillment capacity to service large customers.
Espial explains that the company had to meet a rigorous selection criteria set forth by NEV. This included delivery of a highly customizable user experience, platform openness to enable service customization and application extensibility, carrier grade attributes for reliability, highly flexible service and business management functions that ensures a smooth operational fit, and an innovative middleware

architecture that lowers total cost of ownership.
Dolvane added that the focus in 2008 is to educate and train this channel to enable the securing of new customers and the deployment of Evo IPTV Service Platform as part a turn-key IPTV solution.
Espial provides IPTV middleware and applications that enable superior quality of experience, fast application performance, carrier-grade scalability, and open extensibility, all at a lower total cost of ownership
