Global Internet TV platform provider Brightcove has formed a new majority-owned subsidiary in Japan. The company has invested $4.9 million in the new subsidiary, Brightcove KK.
The new subsidiary has collaborated with four leading players in the Japanese market: Dentsu, J-Stream, transcosmos, and Cyber Communications (CCI (

Alert)). Brightcove KK will make inroads into the Japanese market through these three investment partners acting as its sales agents.
Tokyo based Brightcove KK will operate a localized version of Brightcove's acclaimed on-demand Internet TV platform, a robust and scalable software as a service (SaaS (

Alert)) solution available for online video players, distribution, and advertising. The platform has met with an overwhelming response from media companies and marketers across North America and Europe.
