Win Multimedia Selects Digisoft's IPTV Solution in Thai and Chinese Markets

A global provider of carrier class solutions to the IPTV, media and entertainment markets, Digisoft.tv, today announced that Win Multimedia Company Limited (WM) of Thailand has chosen Digisoft’s DigiHost Service Delivery Platform and IPTV (News - Alert) set top box middleware to provide premium IPTV services in the Thai and Chinese markets.

 

WM’s IPTV service will launch across 10,000 retail outlets in Thailand and China over the next year, and will include advanced applications including IPG, Video on demand, mobile phone tracking, news and weather services and karaoke, in addition to multi-language support.

 

As a subsidiary of Win Win Net Corporation in Thailand, WM is a vertically integrated media company focused on film and record entertainment, sports events production, licensing, and distribution industries. Currently operating in Thailand, WM will expand to The Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and India.

 

“Digisoft’s Service Delivery Platform and IPTV Middleware provide WM with a carrier class platform that enables us to rapidly launch new and differentiated services to the marketplace,” said Sitichai Nuanmanee, chairman at Win Multimedia Company Limited.

Digisoft's advanced Java middleware solution for IPTV Set Top Boxes allows service providers to quickly launch feature-rich, revenue generating high definition (HD) services such as Video and Music on Demand, karaoke, home shopping, network-based recording (NPVR)/time-shifted TV, games and more on a wide range of IPTV STB's with H.264 HD and SD video.

 

Also supported is the latest encryption and watermarking technologies from preferred partners. The Digisoft solution gives next generation service providers one of the most open, cost effective and flexible content delivery solution in the industry today.
