Even Technologies Announces Successful Completion of Phase 1 IPTV System at Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Even Technologies has announced that Infinite Video Corporation has completed Phase One of IPTV system testing at Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative Corporation (“Twin Lakes”). With this testing of the IPTV (News - Alert) system, Twin Lakes can deliver Video over IP and other IPTV services over the existing Twin Lakes network.

Even Technologies specializes in advanced solutions for profitable IPTV delivery. Even Technologies’ PSI Smart Compression allows service providers to deliver standard definition video at only 750kbps and high definition video at less than 3 Mbps. The Company has also implemented the PSI technology into a range of applications for medical imaging, security identification photos and media streaming to the PC and mobile environment.

Telephone companies like Twin Lakes can deliver standard definition television at 750kbps and high definition television at 3Mbps, thanks to Even Technologies’ advanced compression solutions.

Twin Lakes now expects to offer broadcast TV and new media services to their customers including very low bit-rate video for streaming applications, as the Infinite Video solution provides encoding, middleware and Web features.

Wayne Gassaway, Twin Lakes’ General Manager, said, “After looking at the Infinite Video IPTV system, we came to the conclusion that it offered both a technically and economically superior solution that nothing else on the market could provide.”
