Alert) Electronic Solutions Division today extended its distribution deal with Arrow Electronics to include the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Frank Little, vice president and general manager, 3M Electronic Solutions Division said by extending its global distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics, 3M is extending the global reach of a recognized and trusted brand. He said that with Arrow Electronics’ expertise in local markets, the company can extend its global reach with a local handshake.
The agreement focuses on the 3M ESD electronic components segment, which includes connectors, cable, cable assembly solutions and related electronic components. The products are designed to meet the needs of the electronics industry across a variety of applications in the computer and peripheral, communication equipment, military and aerospace, industrial machinery, medical and instrumentation markets.
Mike Calabria, vice president of PEMCO (passive, electromechanical and connector) marketing and product management in Arrow’s North American components business, said that Arrow is proud to have offered 3M products to their customers in North America and Europe, and they are delighted now to be expanding their relationship to include all of Asia.
He added that with the addition of 3M in Asia, Arrow can provide its customers globally with what they believe is an unmatched product portfolio of interconnect solutions and global distribution services.
Melville, N.Y., based Arrow Electronics is a global provider of products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing systems. The company serves as a channel partner for approximately 700 suppliers and 140,000 original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and commercial customers through a global network of more than 300 locations in 50 countries and territories.
3M Electronic Solutions Division officials say it delivers innovative solutions to the electronics market, such as copper interconnect systems; cables and cable assemblies; carrier and cover tapes and trays; flexible circuits; embedded capacitor materials; static control products, and Textool brand test and burn-in sockets.
