Alert) has selected Alcatel-Lucent to launch two state-of-the-art features – Time shift TV and High-Definition TV (HDTV). This new partnership with Alcatel-Lucent is expected to improve the TV viewing experience of aonTV subscribers.
Telekom Austria has been providing broadband services and IPTV (

Alert) for its subscribers for some time now and with the launch of these new functionalities, provides Austrians with new, more dynamic entertainment and communications experience. Alcatel Lucent also believes that this partnership with Telekom Austria strengthens the good working relationship both the companies have had for many years.
As the European soccer championship (EURO 2008) unravels in just a week, aonTV customers will be enjoying many new benefits that will transform their TV viewing experience including the ability to stop live broadcasts to take a break thanks to Telekom Austria’s Time shift TV capabilities.
Also, the launch of Telekom Austria’s HDTV service brings Austrian households the next level of visual quality and TV-experience.
Currently deploying its Triple Play

Service Delivery Architecture (TPSDA) with over 50 service providers worldwide, Alcatel is a major player in the field of end-to end triple-play networks. The company has enabled TV, video and music services with more than 140 fixed and mobile service providers around the world.
