Verimatrix’s “Video Content Authority System” for IPTV

will provide end-to-end security for content delivered to more than 500,000 WinTV subscribers, according to the companies.
Verimatrix officials say their company deals in software-based content security and revenue enhancement technologies in pay-TV networks, with a customer base of telecommunications providers. Win Multimedia is the IPTV (

Win TV offers more than 60 channels through set-top boxes and PC screens, according to the company. Content includes movies and trailers on demand, as well as special interactive services such as karaoke, music vote, and games, e-learning and shopping, company officials say.
“Win Multimedia’s WinTV is an excellent example of how Asia’s IPTV operators are bringing different types of services and delivery networks together in order to create compelling new pay-TV services,” said Steve Oetegenn (

“Win Multimedia’s success is grounded in our ability to give our subscribers the content they want, when they want it, including sports coverage and on demand movies. We can only do this if the content owners trust Win Multimedia’s ability to protect their premium content all through our distribution chain,” said Jintavee Sawadisevee, Win Multimedia’s chief information officer. “Verimatrix provides us with the capability to secure WinTV content at every stage including across our wireless distribution networks. VCAS for IPTV also integrates well with our partners and component vendors, which is an important consideration for protecting our investments.”
VCAS offers a suite of technologies that address content security challenges for the pay-TV networks of today, company officials say.
Verimatrix claims that traditional conditional access systems are built around one-way communications, while it’s designed its own solutions from the ground up using the power and integrity of modern two-way IP

infrastructure.
Verimatrix worked closely with hardware and software partners, including content delivery platform provider DigiSoft, to roll out the content security deployment. Verimatrix’s partner ecosystem, including Sun Microsystems (
