Alert) (CNC) has selected Tektronix video test and monitoring equipment for video broadcasting of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
China Netcom will implement a video test infrastructure including new Tektronix PQA500 Picture Quality Analyzers, WFM7120 Waveform Monitors, MTM400 MPEG Transport Stream Monitors, and the MTS430 MPEG Test System.
China Netcom is an official partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The company has assigned the task for video signal transmission to the International Broadcast Center (IBC) from all the Olympic competition venues in seven cities. These video signals will then be distributed to Rights Holding Broadcast Organizations (RHB) for production and transmission to different countries and regions.
"China Netcom is committed to providing video signal transmission of the highest quality, stability and reliability for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games," said Zhang Shiming, Image Operation Director of 2008 Olympic Games Communication Team, China Netcom. "We selected Tektronix equipment for this critically important project due to the company's innovative technology, uncompromising quality, strong technical support, and proven expertise and experience with previous Olympic Games."
