A mobile streaming media service with offices in Boston and Denver today announced that it’s added nearly two dozen new content partners, including what company officials call top original Web content and IPTV

brands.
Buzzwire’s chief executive officer, Andrew MacFarlane, said consumers have grown accustomed to accessing their favorite shows on demand because they’ve grown up with online video.
“What’s more, their mobile phones have become their constant connection to the world,” MacFarlane said. “With Buzzwire, they can now create their own personal and portable video channel that they can enjoy by themselves or with friends during small moments of downtime or whenever they want.”
The service’s 22 new content providers include Next New Networks, 60Frames, Rooftop Comedy, Goodnight Burbank, Abigail’s Teen Diary, Comedytime.tv, Tubemogul, National Banana, Ocean’s 7-11.com, according to the company.
Available through major wireless carriers in the United States, company officials say, Buzzwire is now available for a free two-week trail at
http://app.buzzwire.com. Prices may vary with different carriers, officials say, but for AT&T (

“By signing up, consumers gain access to the most original Web programming and more through its one-click mobile access,” company officials say. “Buzzwire lets users discover the most talked about content, create their own personalized mobile media channel, and share their favorites with family and friends.”
The content providers whose work is now available through Buzzwire say they expect to gain exposure.
“Partnering with Buzzwire is a natural extension for us,” said Herb Scannell (

Other new partners include Gagfilms.com, Crossroad Mobile, LoftCity, Cinemarv, Headzup.tv, 5Min.com, The Classic Wines Minute, Political Lunch, 20 Minute Yoga, Somagirls, For Your Imagination, Young Hollywood, and Versaly Entertainment, which operates Vmbc.tv, a mobile video distribution network that company officials say will provide Fast Lane and Hollywood Insider programming.
Officials from one company that helps professional artists create and distribute online video content, 60Frames, said they hoped the service put a fresh face on reaching viewers.
“We’re committed to being at the forefront of the digital video revolution, and Buzzwire provides an exciting new avenue for the best and brightest creative minds within the 60Frames portfolio to reach their audience in a fresh, meaningful and personal way,” said Brent Weinstein, the company’s chief executive officer.
