Trango Broadband Wireless Upgrades its Unlicensed Wireless Backhaul Equipment

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Trango (News - Alert) Broadband Wireless has announced new features for the TrangoLINK-45. This multi-band all-in-one 5 GHz unlicensed wireless backhaul radio operates in 5.3 GHz, 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz in U.S. and Canadian models with international models also capable of 5.2 GHz.

Thanks to the upgrade, TrangoLINK-45 can now support QoS and VLAN capabilities and boasts a new interference mitigation ability, called ‘Auto RF RX Threshold,’ which maintains superb wireless link integrity in high RF noise environments. This automatic built-in feature makes TrangoLINK-45 one the most robust 5 GHz wireless backhaul radio on the market.

Auto RF RX Threshold is a clear choice for those operators who want to deploy a robust wireless backhaul. In addition, this feature helps operators combat the increasingly high noise levels that may appear in unlicensed frequency bands.

In order to help network operators experience the new solution, Trango is releasing special pricing on the TrangoLINK-45. The company is offering for a limited time, each TrangoLINK-45 link (2 radios) for $1,965, which is nearly a 50 percent savings.

Zdravko Divjak (News - Alert), president and CEO of Trango Broadband Wireless said in a statement that Trango is moving in the direction to become the industry’s most complete microwave supplier.

He continued: “From our most affordable unlicensed wireless backhaul to our licensed microwave full duplex low latency backhauls, delivering over 700 megabits per second, we are determined to deliver to our customers best-in-class microwave equipment for a broad spectrum of applications.”

Trango Broadband Wireless develops point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless transmission systems in licensed and license-exempt spectrums for Wireless Broadband Internet Access, high-capacity IP backhaul connectivity, mesh networks, Voice-over-IP (VoIP), IP video surveillance, and emerging platforms such as wireless IPTV (News - Alert).
