Verint Expands Integrations for Nextiva IP Video Solution

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Verint (News - Alert) Systems Inc. today announced that it has integrated its Nextiva IP video solution with Situator situation management software from Orsus.

A comprehensive, scalable situation management software platform, Situator supports all phases of incident management for security, safety and crisis management, Orsus said.

The platform is designed to help transform and prioritize both routine and emergency plans into actionable, adaptive tasks and procedures, according to the company. It also integrates live and recorded video from Verint’s Nextiva video management software, analytics, encoders, IP cameras and intelligent DVRs, company officials say.

Nextiva IP video solution is a comprehensive IP video security portfolio, company officials say. The portfolio includes video management software, integrated analytics, encoders and IP cameras and intelligent DVRs for use in a variety of vertical market environments.

Open, standards based and IT-friendly, Verint officials say their solutions enable organizations to leverage existing video investments and place IP video within the reach of virtually every organization.

“We are excited to integrate Situator with Verint’s Nextiva IP video platform, providing our customers with a more comprehensive view of security events,” said Omer Tishler, director of product management at Orsus.

He said Verint is a “true market leader” with a strong, established business base, adding that this partnership enables his company to proactively support large, enterprise customers that require a holistic approach to threat prevention.

“Nextiva has become an integration hub for complementary security technologies because it’s built on an open architecture and capable of supporting seamless interoperability,” commented Jim Clark agreed, senior vice president and general manager for Video Intelligence Solutions at Verint.

He also said that by adding Orsus to company’s growing list of integration partners, “We continue to make IP video easy and to deliver the powerful benefits of integrated solutions to our expanding customer base.”

The companies believe that this new partnership enables joint customers to better gather actionable intelligence and enhance response in sophisticated command and control environments.
