Connexion Technologies, a company specializing in IPAdvantage installations, rolled out its hundredth DIRECTV IPAdvantage system deployment.
DIRECTV IPAdvantage, formerly known as MFH3, is a satellite-based IP technology platform that enables the delivery of all DIRECTV programming and services by converting DIRECTV signals into IP video packets to IP-enabled DIRECTV receivers. It supports both DIRECTV standard and HD DVR receivers, and also supports voice, internet and interactive services over a single connection.
IPAdvantage is one of the tools Connexion Technologies uses to enable the delivery of services to residential housing properties nationwide. Connexion is the world’s leader surpassing all other installers of the solution.
“Connexion has been instrumental in establishing DIRECTV IPAdvantage as the leading solution for property owners who want to provide their residents with the best video, internet and voice experience,” Mike Olson, vice president of MDU Sales for DIRECTV said.
“DIRECTV’s IPAdvantage technology has created a great market opportunity for us by providing multi-family property owners a solution that will enhance their property’s value, remove dishes from balconies and offer residents triple-play bundles at reduced costs,” Olson added.
Connexion also mentioned that it is now recognized as most prolific installer of the DIRECTV IP-based solution.
“As an early adopter of IPAdvantage, we were able to package a space-saving solution for existing apartments and then quickly apply the same solution to manufactured home communities,” Geoff Fair, executive vice-president of engineering for Connexion Technologies said in a statement.
“Our 100th system is a good measure of our ability to deploy a new system to a unique property every day,” Fair added.
In related news, Connexion Technologies achieved two consecutive appearances on the Inc. 500 list as one of the fastest growing private telecommunications company in the U.S.
DIRECTV is the world’s most popular video service delivering technology, programming and a comprehensive sports package along with committed customer service to its more than 26.3 million customers in the U.S. and Latin America.
