Front Row Tennis signed a partnership deal with NeuLion, a service provider of live and on-demand international, sports and variety programming delivered via broadband, for a new video streaming service using NeuLion's (News - Alert) platform.
In a press release, Marc Lemke, president of Front Row Tennis, said, “We wanted to deliver a live video experience that was second to none and chose to work with NeuLion based on their track record delivering live events. We were so impressed with the user experience they provided for other top sports properties and were able to customize an experience specifically around the game of tennis versus a generic player.”
Front Row Tennis will deliver live games, highlights and archive matches that go beyond the courtside seats to give viewers an all-access pass to the tournament. Launching for the YP Challenger of Dallas USTA Pro Circuit tournament on Feb. 28, Front Row Tennis will be produces a six camera shoot and encoding content using NeuLion's Encoding Software for HD adaptive delivery.
The 30+ match series will be streamed live through the Front Row Tennis video player where fans have access to HD quality video of matches and highlights. Using NeuLion's Live Editing Feature, editors will immediately archive and publish the match as soon as it is over and cut highlights for the navigation bar in the video player. As a visual marker, fans can use the schedule strip on top of the video player to watch the current match or go back and watch archived matches.
