Europa Network, an Internet and IPTV services provider in Valencia, Spain, has selected the Anevia ViaMotion server.
Officials with Anevia (News - Alert) said that ViaMotion is a carrier grade video streaming server supporting video-on-demand (VOD) and live TV delivery over managed IP networks and over the Internet.
"Thanks to Anevia we have built a state of the art IP-based service that delivers a high quality service and makes our customers happy and allows us to grow. Anevia's team has been extremely efficient, professional and highly skilled," said Alan Dobinson, CEO of Europa Network, in a statement.
Anevia provides video solutions and service infrastructure for the delivery of live TV and VOD services to TV, PC, Internet-connected and mobile devices. The company has done more than 1,000 deployments in 70 countries.
"We are very pleased that Europa Network has chosen our IPTV (News - Alert) solution," said Tristan Leteurtre, CEO at Anevia.
"It was a very exciting project deployed in record time and we succeeded to build the very best system architecture for future growth," Leteurtre added.
The company delivers video solutions to telecom operators, broadcast service providers and the hospitality market. The company’s solution includes DVB to IP gateways, content distribution, time-shifting applications, over-the-top Internet video delivery, and on-demand video servers.
TMCnet earlier this month reported that Anevia announced that TV3, the Catalan public broadcasting channel, selected to deploy its IPTV gateways for use within the TV3 broadcasting facilities.
Anevia IPTV gateways receive live television broadcasts in DVB and analogue formats and streams them over an IP network.
TV3 chose Anevia's IPTV gateways to offer live broadcast feeds across its internal IP network and to its postproduction studios for content processing, redistribution, and broadcast monitoring. The IPTV system was configured and installed by Telindus Spain, a network system integrator.
Recently, Anevia announced that a newly launched version of its ViaMotion video server is the first to support WebM live streaming with adaptive bitrate. ViaMotion is a software-based carrier-grade streaming solution designed to be versatile by supporting a wide range of protocols.
