NeuLion and Team National to Launch IPTV Service for Team National Members

NeuLion (News - Alert), Inc. announced that it will launch a Team National TV with Team National, a direct selling company. This IPTV (News - Alert) television service will be especially for Team National’s members.

According to NeuLion, a multi-platform broadcast technology company, the new Team National TV will deliver several linear channels of television programming including Fox News, CBS College Sports, Hallmark Movie Channel and Fox Business among others.

Phil Chrysler, executive vice president of Team National said in a release, “Working with NeuLion, Team National was able to do something truly unique -- offer a package of television channels and content specifically chosen to appeal to our IMDs across the U.S. Team National members can save significantly per year from their current cable bill with this new broadcast service.”

“In addition, Team National TV will allow us to easily and quickly communicate via video with all the IMDs that we work with across the U.S.,” Chrysler added.

Television content will be delivered to Team National’s audience comprising of more than 300,000 members via NeuLion’s IPTV set top box. Also Team National TV will feature a Team National video-on-demand channel, which will be regularly updated with weekly content, besides showing numerous videos of all the products and services that Team National TV offers its independent marketing directors (IMDs).

Team National’s own production studios and staff will be leveraged to produce new videos to communicate new offerings and special deals to its IMDs, said NeuLion sources.

NeuLion’s IPTV service serves as a platform for the deployment of top box based services for networks, including KyLinTV (Chinese), TV-Desi (South Asian), and Sky Angel (Christian). NeuLion pursues expansion plans with entertainment, variety, ethnic and cable networks and video content aggregators.

TMCnet reported recently that NeuLion has successfully streamed 400+ live college basketball events within the first half of March 2011. An average of 31 minutes was spent by a general viewer watching this kind of video and audio content.
