Entone and Anevia Integrate Hybrid TV Devices with OTT Services

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Entone, a provider of hybrid TV and connected home solutions, announced partnership with Anevia (News - Alert), a provider of video streaming solutions and service infrastructure for live TV and video on demand (VoD), to integrate Anevia’s ViaMotion OTT solutions with Entone’s (News - Alert) Hybrid TV devices and media hubs.

The integrated Anevia-Entone solution enables service operators to accelerate their time to market, while also offering subscribers more compelling next-gen TV services, according to company officials.

OTT technology has created revolution in video market. It allows early adopters from telco and payTV operators not only to reduce churn, but also to monetize content in new ways, says Morsy Cheikhrouhou, VP of Global Sales at Anevia.

“The integration with Entone enables operators to immediately deploy multi-screen solutions for further lucrative business opportunities using Anevia’s ViaMotion OTT solutions,” Cheikhrouhou added.

Anevia offers a range of IP video streaming solutions for live and VoD content over managed IP networks as well as the Internet.  By using Anevia’s hybrid TV devices and media hubs, operators can deliver TV service that combines the best of traditional linear TV programming with innovative cloud-based media and applications – all from a single device, a consistent user interface and a unified service offering.

Kamai is the latest addition to Entone’s family of Hybrid TV devices. Kamai makes installation and setup hassle-free. It easily integrates with existing home networks and broadband services via its integrated Ethernet or (optional) Wi-Fi connection.

Bart Vanderostyne, director of EMEA Sales and Operations at Entone, said, “By integrating our field-proven hybrid TV and media hubs with Anevia’s IP video streaming solutions, operators can easily deliver advanced IP and OTT services throughout a subscriber’s home without requiring new wiring or a set-top box at each TV set, resulting in a dramatic cost savings in both capital and operating costs for the operator.”

Entone recently announced that its FusionTV solution has been selected by Tri-County Telephone (TCT) Association, a Wyoming-based triple-play service provider. The solution will enable TCT to deliver hybrid TV services to its subscribers, company officials said.
