Telecom services in the Middle East continue to rise with a steady stride along with increasing number of IPTV homes in the Middle East and North Africa. Etisalat (News - Alert), a provider of telephone, TV and Internet services across United Arab Emirates, announced its involvement once again as the Strategic Operator Partner of the IP&TV Forum Middle East & Africa 2011 event, which is scheduled for November 1-2, 2011 at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, UAE.
The IP&TV Forum Middle East & North Africa is the only event involving all Pay TV markets using IP Platforms and is the largest show, reaching the interactive TV markets in the MENA region.
Etisalat’s plan indicated 31st October as OTT Special Focus Day. Etisalat on this day will focus on the latest developments of the company and will highlight on the special deal signed with LG to deliver Etisalat's broadband services and content through LG's new range of smart TVs. In light of these developments Etisalat will focus on the strategizing on monetization and opportunities within the OTT space for operators, technology providers and CE manufacturers.
On 1-2 November, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Etisalat Digital Entertainment Network Zone where Etisalat will be showcasing a group of closely linked partners, who are creating a best of breed deployment of converged services, offering easy and anywhere access no matter the “screen”.
On 3rd November attendees can join Etisalat for informal discussions on how App Developers can increase their revenue. Etisalat official said that the company is inviting App Developers to enter an application for a chance to win a contract with Etisalat to place their app in the Etisalat Application Store.
In 2010 the IP&TV Forum Middle East & North Africa hosted 750 attendees from the full IPTV (News
- Alert) value chain and in which 50 percent+ were from CXO/ Director Level. The IP&TV Forum Middle East & North Africa 2011 event is aimed at offering perfect platform to learn about the latest developments in the TV industry and network with the key decision makers from the entire IP&TV eco-system.
