According to a recent press release, Innovative Systems will be Clarence Telephone Company’s new IPTV (News - Alert) Middleware provider. Innovative’s sound reputation and commitment to the rural Telco market prompted Clarence Telephone to select the company.
“We had already purchased an APMAX and really liked the prospect of working with the same vendor who provides us with enhanced voice services,” said Curtis Eldred, GM Eldred, in a statement. “This decision allows us to tap into Innovative Systems’ continued development of future video and voice services with exciting things to come including Click to Call from the TV and TV playback of Voice Mail messages. We appreciate their continued commitment to preservation of the wireline service by integrating it with IPTV.”
Innovative Systems CEO, Roger Musick commented on the selection by saying, “IPTV ecosystem decisions are major investments that will affect a company’s success over the next 10 to 20 years, and we appreciate the confidence shown by Clarence Telephone in our ability to provide a reliable and feature rich video service that meets their competitive needs.” Musick adds, “We are truly excited to be able to offer our Tier 3 customers service differentiators like DVR Web Control, Whole Home DVR and the soon to be released Droid wireless DVR control application.”
