PHXX, platform development and provider of advanced media delivery solutions, unveiled a series of Over-the-Top Video (OTT) apps at the IPTV (News - Alert) World MEA conference to support the reach of Etisalat's eLife OnWeb service. The company displayed an Over-the-Top Video application for hardware platforms that provides video and entertainment services anywhere. The Central Florida-based PHXX is involved in development deals for a variety of consumer devices within the digital entertainment industry spanning the globe.

Etisalat's (News - Alert) eLife OnWeb service currently features more than 24 content partners delivering 100 percent on-demand content. At present the company's customers access the eLife OnWeb service via the eLife OnWeb application which has been made available over the 'Home' menu located on 37” -- 55” LG 3D/Smart TVs sold across the UAE.

The company is planning on making the eLife OnWeb service available for its customers via an array of multiple devices in the coming few months. This will make it possible for users to access the eLife OnWeb service from any location and at any time.

In a release, Shane Robinett, PHXX president and CEO, said that, “Our name is not important. What is critical is the technical capabilities of our PHXX Reach OTT platform and the quality of the partnerships that we have been able to build with top-tier hardware manufacturers.”

At the IPTV World MEA conference PHXX displayed apps for LG Connected Devices which include LG Smart TV, LG Smart Upgrader, and LG Smart Blu-ray Player. Apps for Tablets which were displayed by PHXX include Apple (News - Alert) iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Tablet 8.9, and Huawei MediaPad.
