Agama Technologies, a provider of quality assurance and monitoring solutions for digital TV and video services, made a recent announcement concerning its Analyzer line of products. Agama, by including a range of built-in core features, will enable TV service operators to go ahead with analysis offline and carry out troubleshooting via their implementation.
The newly included core features of the Analyzer offering feature a Live Play functionality which offers instant visual confirmation and assurance for monitoring of streams via HTTP streaming to support video and audio playback to the PC of an engineer. The Live Play feature has been designed to run out of the box over all kinds of monitored channel at all times. The Trigger Recording feature has been included to support the creation of automatic "before, during and after" recordings as and when fine-grained triggering events occur over monitored channels. Trigger Recording is a high-capacity feature which allows configuration for all monitored channels at the same time. Furthermore, this feature is ideal for use when carrying out in-depth offline analysis and troubleshooting as well as for compiling factors for creating trouble reports for active video processing or network equipment vendors.
Another vital core feature included in the Analyzer offering is the Stream Forwarding functionality which supports the forwarding of monitored transport streams to select IP addresses for instance to multiple range of set-top boxes in a central headend. This provides a reliable base for robust stationary video confidence monitoring capabilities.
The core functionality has been developed as a part of the 4.1 version of the DTV Monitoring Solution from Agama. An extensive suite of components offers a solution for consistent real-time monitoring and quality assurance for different kinds of digital video delivery and covers the service creation to consumption cycle. It helps IP, cable, and broadcast and over-the-top TV operators to both control and understand the quality of service distribution via their deployment. The 4.1 version of the Agama Analyzer product family additionally offers support for EBU R128 noise monitoring and analysis and offers real-time confidence monitoring capabilities for adaptive bitrate streaming solutions.
