Exterity recently announced the launch of its AvediaServer 4 multi-service platform, which is designed to deliver advanced video storage, delivery and management services. The company will exhibit this at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) that is scheduled to be held in Amsterdam from January 31 – February 2.
In a release, Colin Farquhar, CEO at Exterity, said, “The new server represents a significant step forward by giving companies the flexibility of a solution that will work off the shelf as well as something they can make truly bespoke if required. As always, it allows companies to share video in an efficient and controlled way, enhancing both staff and customer communications. Thanks to the new AvediaServer 4 system architecture, an exciting new level of integration is now possible that offers more than just IPTV.”
AvediaServer 4 has been designed with a new app-based interface which makes it easy for users to include new apps for increased functionality which effectively future proofs the solution for delivery of advanced IPTV (News
- Alert) services. Enhancements within the platform include developments within the API based framework which support increased integration and customization of third party devices and applications services which address the requirements of different organizations.
Advancements of the triggers and Marcos functionality within AvediaServer support complex and time consuming instructions which can now be delivered accurately and quickly. A good example of this would be at stadiums or transport hubs which deploy multiple screens over large sites that have to be changed rapidly. A simple web page featuring a wide range of buttons can be used for delivering different messages over the screens. Likewise, changing of channels and other tasks can be easily activated across the site via a single click from the webpage without having to access the server directly.
