Sunrise Communications has chosen Entone has as its set-top box partner for the deployment of advanced IPTV (News - Alert) services.
Entone, Inc. is a provider of hybrid TV and connected home solutions and has powered the deployment of IPTV and hybrid TV services to hundreds of global operators.
The company will now help position Sunrise Communications, a private telecom provider in Switzerland, for growth and continue delivering differentiating services.
Sunrise provides premium residential and business services that include fiber-based broadband Internet, mobile solutions, advanced IP services and wireline telephony.
"Entone's strong commitment to product support was a key factor in our decision to deploy the Amulet (News - Alert). Amulet also easily integrates with our eco-system partners, allowing us to rapidly deploy IPTV services across our expanding footprint. Partnering with Entone (News - Alert) will help us take advantage of the additional revenue stream opportunities while providing our subscribers added benefits and viewing flexibility," said Thomas Leber, senior manager, Wireline at Sunrise.
"As a market leader in IPTV, Entone's focus has always been to provide a reliable and future-proof platform for delivering integrated IPTV services that enhances the user experience," said Bart Vanderostyne, director of EMEA Sales and Operations at Entone. "Opportunities in the TV market are rapidly changing with over-the-top content and new IP-based applications. We are pleased to be working with a visionary operator such as Sunrise to meet those market realities as they rollout innovative IPTV services."
Entone is experiencing strong growth in Europe and has begun to support similar hybrid TV services in the United States. The company was in news last year when Valley Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (VTCI) picked the FusionTV solution from Entone, to power the delivery of its hybrid TV services.
