IMAKE's OpenVision Content Creator v4.5 to Aid IPTV Industry

IMAKE Software & Services, Inc., a provider of open solutions and integration services enabling end-to-end delivery of broadband digital media, Video On Demand and IPTV (News - Alert) content, reportedly announced that the company’s OpenVision Content Creator v4.5 will now support the suite of EGT encoders and the Rhozet transcoder.

 
IMAKE has already deployed its technology at Cable Onda in Panama, OneLink Communication in Puerto Rico and several other content providers in the United States and United Kingdom.
 
Products offered by IMAKE include OpenVision Ad Exchange, OpenVision Asset Manager, OpenVision Content Creator, OpenVision Digital Media Manager, OpenVision Entitlement Server, OpenVision Pitcher/Catcher, OpenVision Streaming Broadcast Mgr., 
OpenVision Session Resource Mgr., OpenVision Royalty Settlement.
 
The IMAKE OpenVision Content Creator is designed as an inexpensive, user friendly workstation that allows content providers to encode, manage and edit content and associated metadata digitally from a variety of sources, including DVD, DigiBeta VTR, Streaming IP and MPEG2 hot folder libraries. With automated features such as metadata and business rule validation, pre-populated templates, and distribution settings, OpenVision Content Creator is designed to reduce errors and maximize productivity.
 
Headquartered in Atlanta, EGT offers video processing technology for digital networks, including multiple system operators and telecommunications companies globally. According to the company, by using the EGT encoders, OpenVision Content Creator produces standards compliant CableLabs (News - Alert) VOD 1.1 content as well as H.264 video for IPTV distribution.
 
Additionally, the integration of Rhozet software enables the transcoding of programming and promotional video for delivery to Broadband outlets and Mobile devices.
 
EGT’s MPEG encoding has proven to be compliant with CableLabs VOD Content 1.1 specification and H.264 capable with high quality digital content format in a multi-stream encoder format. The Rhozet transcoder has proven to support the formats required for the Broadband and Mobile desired platforms.
