BNS Deploys RoomWise HD-IPTV at Hong Kong Hotel

BNS has deployed its RoomWise HD IPTV (News - Alert) in-room entertainment solution at a newly opened Hong Kong Empire Hotel Group’s hotel.

 

BNS is Asia’s IP TV technology and content solutions provider. Located in the Hong Kong's Causeway Bay district, the Empire hotel offers 276 guest rooms which are equipped with state of the art in-room facilities.

 

According to BNS, RoomWise is a solution designed to fit the specific needs of the hospitality and Multi Dwelling Unit (MDU) / Residential development industries.

 

BNS technology will enable the hotel to offer 26 local and international HD and SD channels and VoD services which are shown on the hotel’s 42″ in-room flat-screen TVs. The RoomWise solution consists of complete technology, content and application package that offers users an enhanced experience that exceeds expectations. The solution also integrates front end interactivity features that take advantage of the latest HD IP-STB technology.

 

Services offered include real-time flight information, weather, room service, HD TV games, local map and points of interest, housekeeping mode, express checkout, folio review, world time and TV alarm, TV messaging and others.

 

The Empire Hotels & Resorts Group for their new hotel on Causeway wanted to create a new kind of truly memorable in-room experience that required an innovative and intelligent system that could handle a wide range of applications. The group believes that BNS RoomWise will enable their guests to enjoy the ease and efficiency in receiving the useful information and hotel services that they provide.

 

BNS RoomWise has an intuitive and easy to operate Electronic Program guide which allows guests to navigate through the various services instantly, without having to read instructions.

 

RoomWise integrates seamlessly with the hotel’s existing Property Management Systems (PMS) and can be centrally programmed and controlled through simple management software and connected via an IP network.

 

BNS, a member of the Hotel Technology Next Generation Association, will showcase RoomWise at the HTNG Asia Pacific Conference, held from 13-15 July at the Ritz Carlton Millenia in Singapore.

 

BNS was recently selected to design HD IPTV platform by MKN, Indonesia and BNS had launched in-room entertainment, room control and A/V solutions.
